Our staff provide compassionate care while staying compliant with 245D standards. Whether you’re looking for full-time or part-time work, we offer a variety of shifts to fit your lifestyle:

  • Full-Time: 35 to 40 hours per week
  •  Part-Time: Up to 34 hours per week
  • Day Shifts: Typically 6:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.
  •  Evening Shifts: Typically 2:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. or 11:00 p.m.
  • Weekend Shifts: Rotating morning and evening shifts
  • Overnight Shifts (Awake or Asleep): Typically 10:00 p.m. or 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m., with alternating weekly schedules
  • Locations: Northfield, Shakopee, Savage, Lakeville

Positions

Behavior Technician

Are you looking to support adults with autism and developmental disabilities achieve their goals through evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy.

Why Work at VIKO: We want to invest in YOU by providing you with paid training and education with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). You are a current RBT who needs supervised hours from Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA to maintain your certification.

This role might be a great fit if:

  • You are looking for entry-level experience in autism services or applied behavior analysis with a clear career pathway
  • You already have experience working with adults with disabilities and want to specialize in evidence-based interventions

Pay $19.00 to $28.00 per hour: Pay rate varies based on certification, experience, and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities You will provide individualized support that is both compassionate and evidence-based, including:

  • Implementing behavioral intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Collecting accurate data throughout sessions to track client progress and outcomes
  • Assisting with skill development in communication, social interaction, independent living, and vocational skills
  • Providing behavioral support using positive reinforcement and evidence-based strategies
  • Following individualized treatment plans and safety protocols
  • Supporting community integration and independence goals as directed
  • Maintaining detailed session notes and progress documentation
  • Participating in team meetings and case consultations
  • Communicating regularly with supervisors, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Following all regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Adapting interventions based on client response and clinical direction

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Must pass background check clearance
  • Comfortable working independently while following structured intervention plans
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred but not required
  • RBT certification preferred but will provide training and supervision pathway if needed
  • Our Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides direct supervision for RBT certification candidates
  • Experience working with adults with disabilities is helpful but not required
  •  First Aid/CPR, is preferred, but will be provided if needed

Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Are you someone who enjoys helping others live full, independent lives? Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) play a key role in supporting individuals with disabilities and mental health needs in home and community settings. This position is hands-on, person-centered, and meaningful.

This role might be a great fit if:

  • You are a college student or recent high school graduate starting a career in healthcare or human services
  • You are looking for entry-level experience in mental health, disability services, or community support
  • You already have experience and want to continue doing meaningful, hands-on work
  • You prefer flexible hours but also value a steady and reliable schedule
  • You do well in structured environments with clear routines and expectations

Pay

  • $18.50 to $24.00 per hour
    Pay rate varies based on location, shift type, and job responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Ability to read and write in English for accurate documentation and client communication
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint, etc. (training provided as needed)
  • Willingness to learn VIKO’s client documentation systems 
  • Must pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services background study
  • Comfortable working independently and following a structured routine
  •  First Aid/CPR, is preferred, but will be provided if needed
  • Experience in direct care, mental health, or disability services is helpful but not required

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing direct care in line with each person’s Coordinated Service and Support Plan (CSSP) and CSSP Addendum
  • Assisting with personal cares, activities of daily living, hygiene, meals, and mobility
  • Maintaining client safety and supervision in accordance with 245D licensing
  • Offering cueing, coaching, redirection, and crisis prevention support
  • Assisting with meal preparation, household tasks, and medication reminders
  • Teaching and supporting independent living skills such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and basic health and safety routines
  • Providing transportation to appointments, outings, and community activities using a company vehicle
  • Supporting community integration, relationship-building, and meaningful participation in daily life
  • Implementing and tracking individual outcomes and support plan goals
  • Following Individual Abuse Prevention Plans and Positive Support Strategies
  • Completing accurate daily documentation and progress notes that meet 245D requirements
  • Reporting incidents in accordance with the Minnesota Vulnerable Adult Act and company policy
  • Communicating regularly with team members, supervisors, guardians, and case managers
